I found out last night that my cousin's daughter has a brain tumor. They will be doing surgery on it on Monday. Her name is Robyn and is married with a 1 yr. old son. I come from a small family and she has been more like a neice to me! Please keep her in your prayers! Thanks.

Her surgery will be at 7:30 am CST tomorrow. She had to have 2 drainage tubes placed in her head, one on each side, yesterday due to a fluid build up that was causing her pain. They said that the tumor has grown from golfball size to baseball size! Thanks for your prayers!

Well, she has made it through the surgery! They only removed part of the tumor so they could test it to see exaclty what kind of tumor it is. They are hoping that the rest can remain and be treated with chemotherapy. Thank you so much for your prayers! Please continue to pray as they were told they will know more on Thursday. Trusting the Lord for a good report!

This is the latest news;
Update: Robyn's Tumor is not cancer. Robyn has surgery to remove the rest of the Tumor on Monday, March 1, 2010. If surgery can not complete the removal she will have radiation treatment. So please keep her in your prayers as she still has a way to go to full recovery. THANK YOU AND LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
Thank you all for your prayers!

Robyn came through the surgery! They could not get all of it so it looks like she will be getting radiation treatments. Thank you all for your prayers!

Robyn is having a procedure tomorrow. They are taking the shunts they had put in and putting them internally so they can drain into her abdomen and then absorbed in the body. Please keep her in your prayers. After this, they will let her recover before starting radiation. She still is unable to move her left side although she does have feeling on that side so they are expecting she will recove movement. Thank you all for your prayers!

Are the shunts permanent or will they have to be removed later? I've never heard of anything like that.
I hope she is in good spirits throughout all these troubles? I can't imagine how difficult this must be and what kind of pain she must be going through.
Continuing to pray for Robyn.

I'm not sure if they are permanent or not. Many of my students have these, well..... maybe not 3 of them like she has but 1 or 2 of them. She did well with the surgery and I guess they are planning to start rehab for her next week if her left side will let her. Thanks for your prayers!
