I thought it might be fun to start a thread that shows amazing features pre-programmed into insects and animals that are so incredible , they could only be designed by our God ; the Creator Of The Universe!
Please add to this thread!

I saw a Mud Dauber today ............. we in the south call them Dirt Daubers!
He was gathering dust as material to build their new house ....... which they build these nests very rapidly.

They mold the dust and mud with their front legs and jaws into a tubular structure that resembles organ pipes. They are our friends so don't kill them if you see them around your house!
They sting spiders , mostly Black Widows and Brown Recluses. These spiders are taken to their nests and stuffed inside one of these tubes.
The mother dauber then leaves an egg inside the tube with their prey then it's sealed off for the baby dauber to feed on until it's ready to come out into the world.

I think it's amazing that when the baby reaches adulthood , these traits are already programmed into him.
He doesn't have to be taught the finer points of nest building or hunting.
All this is part of his exclusive design by God!
I included pics to show what they look like and what their homes look like.

Try building one of these things yourself and see if it looks as uniformed and well designed!  Grin

God bless

We had an old unlivable farmhouse (we used it for storage) on our farm that was full of mud daubers in the Summer. I couldn't stand going in there for anything, they would buzz around your head and almost fly into your face, there would be hundreds. I would occasionally see them carrying spiders and bugs in flight, nearly the same size as the dauber. Now I feel bad, I would during the heaviest dauber time, place smoke bombs(pesticide) in the house to kill them.

Don't feel badly.
An old southern remedy for diaper rash is a crushed up dauber nest applied to the affected area.
There have been countless displaced mud daubers for the sake of this.   Grin

I wish to correct myself ............ it's called a Dirt Dobber here in the south!  Grin

The bombardier beetle is an amazing insect has two sacs, one of which contains hydrogen peroxide, and the other contains hydroquinone. The beetle also has a third compartment into which these two substances are injecting when the beetle feels threatened. A third liquid, an enzyme, is then injected into this chamber and acts as a catalyst to cause this noxious fluid to heat up to near boiling and to shoot it out of an outlet duct with amazing accuracy at the offending animal. The hot chemical soup is shot through a sphincter controlled firing mechanism that is in itself quite amazing.

Not only is this a beautiful example of irreducible complexity, but it makes evolutionary theory seem even wackier than ever. Evolutionary theorist Richard Dawkins has tried to say that this was simply nature making use of materials that it had around. Not only does this preposterous argument require that nature must have had forethought and design, but it fails to explain why these substances would be lying around in the beetle in the first place if they were not intended to be used as parts of a defense mechanism. Even in the ridiculously unlikely event that the beetle would evolve two chambers to contain otherwise useless liquids, it is even more absurd to propose that a third chamber for the catalyst, and a fourth chamber for the three to combine, would come into existence along with a highly sophisticated system of sphincters for a shooting mechanism all at the same time.

This beetle is a particularly good proof that evolutionists are wrong.
The only argument that I've even seen (I believe that it was Dawkins) who was criticizing a creation scientists for leaving out the catalyst from his description. In other words he was arguing against the creationist view by pointing out that the whole apparatus was much more complicated than the creationist had stated, and that the impossibility of it having come into being by chance was even greater. Two chemicals were proof enough of design; three chemicals are even greater proof!

One would think that these scientists would get excited about such a proof and it might occur to them that if there were a designer.

How could a non-intelligent force design anything?
They have posited a designed universe with an impersonal designer that doesn't think or judge.
What does that do to their claim that there is no creator at all?
Either the world came about by chance or it was designed.
They seem to want it both ways, but of course, their real reason that they want to deny God is that they hate what is good and those who do good.
Logic and reason take second place to that hatred. This is the true mark of a reprobate mind.
The bombardier beetle is another thing for which we can thank God, because they show evolution as being impossible.

I'm sure they're all over the USA.
You may have seen a dauber before and mistakingly thought it was a common wasp?
We have an abundance of these in my area.
If a person has an old building on their property then you'll find their nests.
I've even found them under the hood of old cars that's been parked for awhile.

Here's another one I've heard creationists teach about ........... the giraffe.

Giraffe -- this "lowly" animal also contains three unique, cooperating capabilities.

Because the neck of the Giraffe extends so high into the air, the heart must contain an extraordinarily strong pump to force the blood from the lower body to the highest reaches of the brain. Thus, the first capability unique to the giraffe is a heart that is also a most powerful pump.

However, when the giraffe lowers its neck to drink, the blood that is circulating in its neck will suddenly come rushing down by the force of gravity. This sudden rush of blood is so strong, it would quickly cause the giraffe to suffer a brain aneurysm, killing the animal instantly. Therefore, the second capability is that spigots are built into his neck arteries that instantly close down whenever the animal lowers its neck to drink water.

However, when the giraffe abruptly raises its head after drinking, the blood would flow so rapidly downward through the force of gravity that the animal would suffer a sudden loss of blood to the brain, thus causing him to pass out cold. However, God has built a third capability that prevents this from occurring. The brain has a sponge-like material just behind the brain that has gradually been absorbing blood all the time the giraffe has been drinking. When the giraffe suddenly raises his head, that blood very slowly drains out of the brain, thus keeping the giraffe from passing out, while the spigots open up and the blood begins to flow naturally.

Three very complicated, but cooperating capabilities had to come together at once in the giraffe.

The Amazing Sea Turtle

God gave sea turtles the perfect equipment to be powerful swimmers. Notice its flat flippers and streamlined body. Evolution could not produce the intricate designs of sea turtles.

Sea turtles are excellent swimmers. Their powerful paddle-like flippers take them great distances at speeds of between 1 and 1.4 mph (1.5–2.3 kph).2 Satellites have tracked them criss-crossing the oceans.

Sea turtles are excellent divers as well. Leatherbacks, in particular, can dive thousands of feet as they search for their favorite dish, jellyfish.

Normally, the incredible pressure at such depths would rupture air-filled lungs. However, these turtles are designed to expel the air from their lungs, which collapse. The turtles then use the oxygen stored in their red blood cells and muscles. Compared to most other animals, they have a higher concentration of red blood cells and lots of myoglobin, an oxygen-binding protein found in muscle.

And then there’s the problem of saltwater. Ingesting it would kill the turtles if they didn’t have specialized salt glands that empty into the eyes, much like tear ducts, ridding their bodies of excess salt.

Females may look like they are crying when they come on shore to lay their eggs. But the secretions from these glands protect the turtles’ eyes as they dig in the sand to make nests for their eggs.2
Where Did They Come From?

So where did sea turtles come from? This is not primarily an observational science question, but a historical science question. The answer requires many assumptions about an unseen past.4

Evolutionists assume that all living things share a common ancestor and have developed through time by naturalistic processes. This view is not supported by the fossil record and conflicts with the historical account given in Genesis.

From Genesis 1, we learn that God created living things according to their kind around 6,000 years ago. Creationists are not sure if sea turtles were created as a distinct kind of sea creature on Day 5, or if they were a part of the turtle kind created on Day 6.5

Seven species of sea turtles make up two separate families. In the family Cheloniidae, a number of different species have interbred and produced hybrids. For example, loggerhead sea turtles have formed hybrids with Kemp’s ridley, olive ridley, hawksbill, and green sea turtles.6 Since they are able to reproduce together, it seems logical that they belong to the same created kind.7

Two sea turtle species have not been observed to produce hybrids: the flatback turtle, which is in the family Cheloniidae, and the leatherback, which is the only living member of the family Dermochelyidae. As has been pointed out elsewhere,8 however, the inability to produce offspring does not necessarily mean that these two turtles are from different kinds.
Baby Sea Turtles.

Immediately after they hatch, baby sea turtles must race for the ocean to survive. They face many obstacles during their life, and this is only the first.

In fact, after studying the characteristics of turtles, creation scientists have concluded that all sea turtles are probably descendants of just one created kind.9 Though sea turtles vary in appearance, habitat, and diet, several key characteristics clearly identify them as sea turtles.7
Summary

God intended for animals to reproduce and fill the earth. He provided sea turtles with incredible variability that has allowed them to thrive in a variety of oceanic niches worldwide.

Sea turtles have many specializations and are intriguing to watch and study. An honest look at the facts reveals that they have been around for thousands (not millions) of years. There is no indication they ever were or ever will be anything but turtles.
